سؤال الترجمة من الأسئلة التي تسبب رهبة كبيرة لطالب الثانوية العامة ولكن كيف نتغلب على هذه العقبة؟ وكيف نجعل من هذا السؤال مجرد درجات مضمونة حتى قبل أن ندخل امتحان اللغة الإنجليزية بإذن الله
أولا وقبل كل شئ يجب أن تكون ملما لقواعد اللغة العربية ومعانيها وإلا فكيف ستترجم جملة مثل "تطرق الاجتماع إلى موضوعات شتى" إلى الإنجليزية دون أن تعرف معنى "تطرق- شتى" بالعربية.

الجملة في اللغة العربية قد تكون اسمية تبدأ باسم أو فعلية تبدأ بفعل .
- ذهب الولد إلى المدرسة بالأمس (فعلية)
- الولد ذهب إلى المدرسة بالأمس (اسمية)
أما في الانجليزية فالجملة دائما تبدأ بالاسم
→ The boy went to school yesterday.
ولا يصح أن نقول
→ went the boy to school yesterday.
تبدأ الجملة في اللغة الانجليزية بالفعل في حالة الأمر (imperative)
→ Raise your hand if you know the answer.

هناك نوعان من
الترجمة:


1) ترجمة حرفية: وهى التي تترجم الجملة بنفس معانيها ونفس ترتيب كلماتها
2) ترجمة غير حرفية:- وهى أن تترجم الفكرة ولكن بأسلوب استعارى أو مستخدما الكنايات أو التشبيهات
لاحظ المثال الاتى:-
عندما رأى التاجر أنني راغب في الصورة، أرغمني أن أدفع ثمنا باهظا
الترجمة الحرفية لهذا المثال.
- When the merchant saw that I wanted the picture, he made me apay an expensive price.
الترجمة الغير حرفية لهذا المثال
- When the merchant saw that I wanted the picture, he made me pay through the nose for it.


يدفع ثمنا باهظا Pay through the nose
يقلب صفحة جديدة Turn anew leaf
منغمس في العمل Heart and soul in the work
يطلب المستحيل Cry for the moon
يتعلم عن ظهر قلب Learn by heart
يصيب الهدف Hit the mark
يندم على ما فاته Cry over spilt milk
عشم إبليس في الجنة pie in the sky
يسلى (entertain) Wine and dine
لك حرية الاختيار You can pick and choose
عمال على بطال On and off
رايح جاي To and fro
هات وخد Give and take
بالمقلوب Back to front
يبدأ من الصفر Start from scratch




أنت طالب في الثانوية العامة. يجب أن تدرك أن طريقة حفظك للكلمات الجديدة مختلفة عن طريقة حفظك لها في المرحلة الابتدائية أو الإعدادية. كل كلمة جديدة تقابلك سواء كانت اسما أو فعلا لابد أن تعرف بما يسمى (Word family) وهذا يعنى كل الكلمات المشتقة
مثال 1 :

أمة Nationوطن

قومي وطني ↔ National
قومية ↔ Nationalism
تأميم ↔ Nationalization
مثال 2 : slave

عبد
عبودية ↔Slavery
يستعبد Enslave ↔
حقير- وضيع↔Slavish
لعاب ↔Slaver
وبهذه الطريقة تستطيع حفظ أكبر كمية من الكلمات التي ستفيدك في كل أسئلة الامتحان وليس في سؤال الترجمة فقط.

وهناك كلمات كثيرة لها أكثر من معنى واحد. ويتحدد معنى مثل هذه الكلمات على حسب سياق الجملة.
- لاحظ الكلمات الآتية:-
(1) He is doing researches on the human cells
(2) The prisoner is in the cell
(3) The cell of the car is out of date
- -
(1) في الجملة الأولى بمعنى (خلية)
(2) في الجملة الثانية بمعنى (زنزانة)
(3) في الجملة الثالثة بمعنى (بطارية)

ومن الطبيعي جدا أن نقابل في سؤال الترجمة كلمات نراها لأول مرة ولا نعرف معناها.
(1) نحاول أولا أن نبحث بداخل الكلمة التي لا نعرف معناها عن أي مشتق نعرفه. على سبيل المثال كلمة(Miraculous) نلاحظ أن أول خمسة حروف منها هم أول خمسة حروف في كلمة (miracle) التي تعنى (معجزة) أو (أسطورة). وبتتبع سياق الجملة نصل إلى أن كلمة (Miraculous) تعنى (أسطوري).

(2) قدرة طالب الثانوية العامة على تخمين الكلمات التي لا يعرف معناها تجعله قادرا على ترجمة أي قطعة مهما بلغت صعوبتها.


- لاحظ المثال الاتى:-
- The war planes are wreaking wanton destruction in Gaza.
- الكلمات التي نعرف معناها في هذا المثال:-
حرب War
طائرات Planes
دمار Destruction
غزة Gaza
- الكلمات التي لا نعرف معناها ونحاول تخمينها:-
Wreaking
wanton
هيا لنخمن معنى هذه الكلمات معا.
(1) يتضح لنا أن هناك طائرات حربية وهناك دمار في غزة.
(2) ويتضح أن كلمة (wanton) تأتى قبل كلمة (destruction)
إذا فهي صفة. ولكي نصف الدمار لا يمكن أن نصفه إلا بأنه وحشي أو قاسى أو عديم الرحمة. إذا فكلمة (wanton) تعنى (وحشي).
(3) وهكذا وصلنا إلى أن (الطائرات الحربية.... دمارا وحشيا في غزة)
(4) بدلا من هذه النقاط تستطيع أن تضع مائة كلمة بمعنى (wreak)

* هناك بعض الاستثناءات لهذه القاعدة ، فمثلا إذا كان هناك أكثر من شخصين أو شيئين مشتركين في وضع واحد نستعمل كلمة (between)

Verb formations

من المشاكل التي تواجه الطالب في اى اختبار لغة إنجليزية عدم علمه بتصريف فعل معين. في أي سؤال قواعد مثلا قد يعرف الطالب الفكرة الموجودة بداخل السؤال ولكنه يفقد الدرجة لعدم علمه بتصريف فعل
- لاحظ المثال الآتي
→ Find the mistakes and correct the following sentence:-
(1) Have you ever meet a famous person?
* في مثل هذا المثال قد يكون الطالب على علم بالقاعدة الموجودة بداخل الجملة. ألا وهى تركيب السؤال في زمن المضارع التام

(met) هو(meet)ولكنه قد لا يكون على علم بأن التصريف الثالث من
وبهذا لا يستطيع الحصول على درجة السؤال لا قدر الله.
وهذه المشكلة حلها سهل وبسيط يجب على الطالب أن يهتم بمعرفة التصريف الثاني والثالث من كل فعل يقابله ويحاول أن يضعه في جملة حتى يثبت في ذاكرته
